Today, SCS Software released new screenshots and details of the upcoming Iowa DLC for American Truck Simulator, showcasing all of the impressively large payloads it’ll feature.
American Truck Simulator Iowa will feature three new Special Transport jobs. These challenging loads have been carefully planned ahead of time with escort vehicles and local police enforcement to help with delivery.
Even with the extra help and clear roads, completing these job contracts won’t be automatic. You’ll still need to navigate around built-up areas, obstacles, and steep declines in order to get everything to your destination in one piece.

Special Transport jobs will take place starting and ending with the following routes:
- Dubuque to Mason City
- Burlington to Iowa City
- Sioux City to Des Moines
Any drivers who are skillful enough to transport these deliveries will be paid pretty well, though the experience of completing such a challenge will be payment enough for many. American Truck Simulator is available exclusively for PC, and it’s the sister game to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Update 1.55 has just entered its beta testing phase.
American Truck Simulator Iowa will be the next DLC to release on Steam, available on July 10, 2025. While you wait for its release next month, you can enjoy a look at Iowa’s fields, the truck stops, the towns, the road network, more settlements, the bridges, an Ethanol plant, the farming industry, the river ports, and the city of Davenport.
There’s also recently been lots of gameplay showing a route from a feedmill depot near Waterloo to an agricultural facility close to Iowa City. For more information on this and other simulators, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
