Today, Raw Power Games revealed new screenshots of its upcoming sandbox game Chronicles: Medieval, focusing on settlements.
It’s just a small sneak peek following the game’s reveal at Summer Game Fest, but we get to see a glimpse of the world via two pictures of what appears to be a hamlet (or possibly two different towns) during the day and at night.
The level of detail is certainly great, and the mood feels perfect for the medieval setting.
You can check them both out in the gallery below and see for yourself what I mean.

The game is set in a sandbox in medieval Europe, where players can create a character and recruit, train, and lead armies into battle. It promises to immerse players in “a living medieval playground,” and that’s certainly interesting.
While a lot remains mysterious, Chronicles: Medieval appears to be akin to a Mount & Blade on steroids. We’ll have to see whether that is the case when more is revealed down the line.
The focus certainly appears to be closer to real history, besides the European setting (Mount & Blade is set in a medieval-like fantasy world), we’ll also be able to command historical units like English longbowmen and French cavalry.
While we roam the world, the game promises a deep simulation to run in the background, while there will also be a main narrative and quests.
Besides the sandbox elements, players will also be able to create custom battles and “fight alongside friends,” which certainly appears to heavily hint at a multiplayer element.
For now, we know that it’ll come in 2026 and it’ll have a period in early access on Steam. One thing is for sure: this appears to be a title to watch for fans of the genre.
