Shine Research and Nacon have opened up registration for a PC playtest for Architect Life: A House Design Simulator.
Architect Life has already had a limited-time demo earlier this year. The developers used the feedback from the demo to update two major things: the tutorial and the controls.
These were two very sore spots in the demo. Both mouse and keyboard controls and controller controls were a sore spot, and it looks like Shine Research realized that. Now, it’s ready to hear player feedback again after it has overhauled the controls to be more satisfying and easier to use.
The tutorial is also brand-new, which should make the simulator feel a bit less confusing. The point of the playtest is to get more player feedback about it to improve the simulator even further.
The Architect Life: A House Design Simulator PC playtest will open up on April 28. PC players can sign up for the playtest here on Nacon’s website. The playtest is open for players who use mouse and keyboard controls or controller controls, as Shine Research wants to get feedback about both.
There’s no playtest coming for consoles, but console players won’t have to wait long. Architect Life: A House Design Simulator will be released on June 5, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Architect Life puts players in the role of a home designer. They’ll do everything from the ground up, including making blueprints, hiring contractors, and even doing the interior design work.
