Marvel Rivals Reveals Season 2 Balance Adjustments and Team-Ups Ahead of Version 20250411

Season 2 and the Hellfire Gala are coming to Marvel Rivals next week, and NetEase has revealed all of the balance and adjustments coming to the characters with Version 20250411.

The changes are hitting most of the characters in the game, and even the team-ups are getting adjustments.

The Vanguard changes are as follows:

  • Captain America
    • Reduce health by 25 (675 to 650)
    • Reduce shield from Living Legend by 50 (400 to 350)
  • Doctor Strange
    • Daggers of Denmark damage reduced by 2 (18 to 16)
    • Maelstrom of Madness conversion ratio of Dark Magic to damage reduced by 0.1% (1.3 to 1.2)
  • Hulk
    • Increase movement speed by 50 (600 to 650)
    • Reduce cooldown time for Indestructible Guard by 2 seconds (12 to 10)
    • Reduce minimum charge time for Incredible Leap by 0.2 seconds (0.7 to 0.5)
  • Magneto
    • Increase energy cost for Meteor M by 300 (3100 to 3400)
  • Peni Parker
    • Cyber-Web Cluster can crit
    • Reduce movement speed penalty when firing Cyber-Web Cluster reduced by 20% (40% to 20%)
    • Increase base health by 100 (650 to 750)
  • The Thing
    • Decrease Embattled Leap’s damage reduction effect by 5% (30% to 25%)
  • Thor
    • Increase base health by 75 (525 to 600)
    • Increase movement speed by 60 (600 to 650)

Next up on the buffing/nerfing block are Duelists:

  • Black Widow
    • She can now directly shoot after releasing the second kick of Edge Dancer and Electro-Plasma Explosion
  • Hawkeye
    • Reduce the slow effect while charging bow shots by 10% (30% to 20%)
    • Increase damage for both shots in Hypersonic Arrow by 5 (50 to 55)
    • Decrease energy costs for Hunter’s Sight by 600 (3700 to 3100) and increase bow draw speed by .15x (1.35x to 1.5x)
  • Hela
    • Increase cooldown time for Astral Flock by 3 seconds (12 to 15)
    • Increase Spell Field Damage of Piercing Night by 5 seconds (30 to 35)
    • Decrease cooldown time for Soul Drainer by 2 seconds (12 to 10)
  • Human Torch
    • Reduce attack interval for Fire Cluster by 0.1 seconds (0.6 to 0.5)
    • Increase cooldown for Flaming Meteor by 3 seconds (12 seconds to 15 seconds)
    • New effect for Flaming Meteor that, when used, will give Human Tork 75 bonus health that will decrease at 30 per second 3 seconds after the effect begins
  • Iron Man
    • Reduce Iron Man’s hit box
    • Give Iron Man 100 bonus health when activating Armor Overdrive or Gamma Overdrive that decreases at 30 per second 5 seconds after the effect begins
  • Iron Fist
    • Reduce bonus max health from Harmony Recovery by 50 (150 to 100), but the falloff rate is 10 per second slower (25 per second to 15 per second)
    • Reduce fixed damage of Yat Jee Chung Kuen by 1 (10 to 9), though percentage damage based on enemy’s max health per stick increase by 0.4% (1.7% to 2.1%)
    • Decrease cooldown for K’un-Lun Kick by 2 seconds (12 to 10)
  • Mister Fantastic
    • Increase base health by 25 (350 to 375)
    • Increase the damage of Stretch Punch by 5 (60 to 65 and 75 to 80 when Inflated)
    • New effect for Flexible Elongation: enemies in range will be slowed by 35%
    • Decrease the cooldown of Flexible Elongation by 2 seconds (10 to 8)
    • Reduce the Elasticity from Elastic Strength by 10 (30 to 20)
    • Increase the Elasticity from Stretch Punch by 3 (5 to 8)
    • New feature: gain bonus health that’s equal to that gained while Inflated when using Brainiac Bounce
  • Moon Knight
    • Increase Crescent Dark projectile speed by 30 m/s (120 m/s to 150 m/s)
    • New effect for Moon Blade: gain 25 bonuse health for every enemy hit, up to 100 that decreases by 20 per second 3 seconds after it’s triggered
    • Increase speed for Moonlight Hook pull startup time by 0.11 seconds (0.4 seconds to 0.15 seconds)
    • Extended duration of Hand of Khonshu by 1 second (3.5 seconds to 4.5 seconds)
    • Increase the number of talons generated in Hand of Khonshu by 4 (14 to 18)
    • New feature: a falloff mechanic for the spell field during Hand of Khonshu, starting at 1.5 meters and reaching a reduction of 70% at 5 meters
  • Scarlet Witch
    • Remove Chaos Control percentage damage
    • Increasing Chaos Control fixed damage by 20 per second (60 per seconds to 80 per second)
    • Increase cooldown of Mystic Projection by 2 seconds (8 to 10)
    • Reduce Phased time by 0.5 seconds (2 to 1.5)
    • Slow effect of Reality Erasure starts at 1.5 seconds instead of instantly
  • Star-Lord
    • Reduce Blaster Barrage damage by 5 per second (80 to 75)
    • New damage falloff mechanic that starts at 4 meters and increases to 80% at 8 meters.
  • Winter Soldier
    • Increase cooldown time of Bionic Hook by 4 seconds (8 to 12)
    • Reduce damage of Kraken Impact by 20 (100 to 80), but the culling threshold lowers by 5% as well (20% to 15%)
  • Wolverine
    • Increase Rage from Savage Claw by 3 (7 to 10)
    • Reduce Rage from Berserk Claw Strike by 2 (7 to 5)
    • Reduce Rage form Feral Leap by 10 (20 to 10)
    • Reduce Rage from Vicious Rampage by 5 (20 to 15)
    • Increase Rage from taking damage by 2 (3 to 5)
    • Reduce the time that an enemy is knocked down after Last Stand by 0.25 seconds (1 to 0.75)

Last but not least are the strategists:

  • Adam Warlock
    • Increase cooldown for Soul Bound by 10 seconds (30 to 40)
    • New effect on Karmic Revival restores 30% of fallen ally’s max health instead of 100 health
  • Cloak and Dagger
    • New effect of Eternal Bond makes it so that all healing zones end at the same time based on the start of the final healing zone triggered
  • Invisible Woman
    • Decrease shield value of Guardian Shield by 50 (300 to 250)
  • Loki
    • Increase cooldown of Regeneration Domain by 5 seconds (25 to 30)
  • Mantis
    • Reduce health by 25 (275 to 250)
    • New effect lets the effects of Healing Flower and Allied Inspiration be stacked up to 16 seconds
  • Rocket Raccoon
    • Decrease the healing area of Repair Mode spheres by 20 per second (70 per second to 50 per second)
    • New effect of Repair Mode spheres will heal 55 health the first time an ally is hit
    • Reduce speed of projectiles by 2.5 seconds (4.5 m/s to 7 m/s)
    • Increase cooldown of Jetpack Dash by 4 seconds (6 to 10)
    • Reduce dash distance of Jetpack Dash by 2 meters (10 to 8)
    • Reduce damage boost from C.Y.A by 15% (40 to 25)
    • New effect for C.Y.A: linked allies receive an extra 100 health per second that falls off at 75 per second after the link is broken
    • Increase energy cost for C.Y.A by 300 (3700 to 4000)

The Team-Up Abilities were also a balance target, along with new ones coming with Marvel Rivals Season 2. The new ones include:

  • Arcane Order (Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch)
  • Stars Aligned (Captain America and Winter Soldier)
  • Mental Projection (Emma Frost and Psylocke/Magneto)

The following Team-Ups were balanced, either taking off effects completely or adjusted in other ways:

  • Ammo Overload (Rocket Raccoon and Winter Soldier)
  • Chilling Charisma (Luna Snow and Namor)
  • Dimensional Shortcut (Magik and Psylocke)
  • Gamma Charge (Hulk, Dr. Strange, and Namor)
  • Metallic Chaos (Scarlet Witch and Magneto)
  • Voltaic Union (Thor, Captain America, and Storm)
