Flight Simulation developers shared news today, including scenery releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020, on top of the first look at an aircraft for X-Plane.

Verticalsim released new screenshots of its Southwest Florida International Airport (KRSW) in the United States for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020.
Twentyfive Mile & Limber Lake Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024



















Emerald Scenery Design released Twentyfive Mile & Limber Lake including two airstrips in Alaska. It’s available on Orbx Direct for $11.05.
The package includes the following features.
- Two highly detailed airstrips: Twentyfive Mile Lake (RN25) & Limber Lake (RNLL).
- A coverage area of 5.6 mi² (9 km²), including multiple custom Cabins with extra details throughout.
- All models use PBR textures, up to 4K resolution.
- Color-matched aerial imagery at 30cm/px.
- Hand-crafted terraforming up to 3m/px, and fully compatible with ORBX’s Alaska Mesh.
- Custom environment including Weeds, Wildflowers, Native Shrubs, 3D Trees, Rocks, and Logs.
- Custom animated wildlife: Bears, Fox, Moose, Wild Boar, & Wolf roam the coverage area.
- Dynamic SFX using Wwise.
- Bears can be found roaming the scenery. Will go into hibernation when temperatures fall below freezing.

- Birds SFX (Great Horned Owl) are Audible throughout the scenery at Night, but not when Rain or Snow is reported.
- Birds SFX (Junco & Fox Sparrow) Audible throughout the scenery from Dawn to Dusk, but not when Rain or Snow is reported.
- Butterflies are visible around flowers from May through September. Includes 4 different Alaska native variations! Will not show when Rain or Snow is reported.
- Feral Hog roams near the Northern end of the runway at Twentyfive Mile Lake.
- Fox roams around the Limber Lake airstrip. Will play a Wwise SFX call roughly every 6 minutes.
- Frogs can be found around the Safari Lakeshore. Appears when Rain has been reported in the area.
- Moose can be found roaming the scenery and will walk up the runway at Limber Lake.
- A wolf will pass in front of the Log Cabin and cross the runway at Twentyfive Mile Lake. Changes to a winter coat when temperatures fall below freezing.
- Rain Puddles appear at both airstrips when Rain has been reported in the area.
- 3D Snow will appear on airstrip building roofs once snow depth has been reported on the ground.
- VFX Smoke and Campfire VFX will appear throughout the scenery once temperatures fall to 50°F (10°C) or below.
- Windsocks/Flag/Wind Turbine will change orientation and animation based on Wind speed and direction.
Ireland West Airport Knock Released for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020
Ireland West Airport Knock (EIKN) has been released for Fly X Simulations. It’s available on iniBuilds’ store for $15.55.
It includes the following features.

B-1 Lancer for X-Plane 12 Gets First Screenshots





AOA Simulations revealed the first screenshots of the Rockwell B-1 Lancer bomber for X-Plane 12. The textures aren’t complete as they have no panel lines or rivets yet.
