Tokyo Indie Games Summit has been hosted during the weekend in the trendy Kichijoji area of the Japanese capital, and there are plenty of great indie games to enjoy within the lineup.
A special Steam Page is available where you can find the whole lineup of featured games, and some of those that have already been released are even discounted.
Among them, you can check out simulation games like the devilishly cute Kemono Tea Time by Studio Lalala, the nostalgic inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories by Nagai Industries, Coffee Talk Tokyo by Chorus Worldwide Games, and Sky Island Noka by Acheronsoft.
More interesting games on the menu include the superhero game UNDEFEATED: Genesis, the Patapon spiritual successor Ratatan, and the solo-developed 3D action RPG Rise of Rebellion.
Of course, that’s just the top of the iceberg, and the mix of genres and styles is absolutely impressive. Despite the location, not all games are developed in Japan, and we find games developed by Western teams like Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog.
If you like indie games, you’re sure to find something to pique your curiosity to look forward to, or to grab if it has already been released.
On top of this, you can enjoy about 10 hours of stage events that have been livestreamed directly from the venue on demand below, including a panel featuring former Sony Interactive Entertainment indie guru Shuhei Yoshida.
