Honda revealed its Honda Koraidon Project, a motorbike in the shape of a Koraidon legendary Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, specifically Scarlet.
Interestingly, the project is explicitly inspired by the Miraidon created by the Toyota Engineering Society last year with the slogan “An adult’s seriousness can become a child’s dream.” The slogan for this new project is “Honda’s seriousness can become a child’s dream.”
About volunteer 40 Honda employees have been involved in the project applying the design philosophy and simulation technology created for the company’s motorcycle business.
The initial result will be exhibited between March 7 and March 9 at the Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo. It’ll be a static exhibition due to the fact that the venue has space constraints.
The Pokémon Company is, of course, also involved in supervising the project, making sure that the Koraidon has roughly the correct weight, size, and details.
Interestingly, Honda plans to continue developing the Koraidon using its balance control technology called Honda Riding Assist and unveiled at CES 2017.
The objective of such continued development is allowing the vehicle to self-balance on top of enabling movement of limbs, face, eyes, and eyelids matching the speed and creating a dynamic sensation.
