Ever since it was announced at The Game Awards back in 2025, fans have been dying to get their hands on Pearl Abyss’ medieval fantasy RPG, Crimson Desert. The long wait to finally play the game is almost over, as fans who will be attending Gamescom 2024 are in for a treat.
In a tweet published earlier today, the developers stated that Crimson Desert will be playable at the official Pearl Abyss booth and that they were counting down the days until players could join the fight. They even posted their schedule and availability for stopping by and stated they’d be revealing the booth’s location the closer we get to the event and to subscribe to the newsletter for updates.

For anyone that hasn’t heard of Crimson Desert (not to be confused with Black Desert), the game puts players in the shoes of a lone mercenary as he navigates both the stunning beauty and cutthroat dangers of Pywel, the war-torn continent where history will be written in blood. While an exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet, a window of Q2 2025 has been stated.
It has also been revealed that Crimson Desert will only be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, so previous-gen consoles are out of luck. For more news on the game, and other upcoming medieval fantasies and RPGs in development, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
