Recently, the Malaysian airline AirAsia launched a special livery for one of its Airbus A320 themed after Persona 5 Royal. Today, we get to see how it all happened.
The special livery debuted in early November thanks to a collaboration between AirAsia and Sega that also resulted in the launch of a larger Airbus A330 dedicated to Sonic.
Today’s video, published by Atlus itself, shows how the aircraft has been repainted from its old (and relatively boring) livery to the new one during about a month in a hangar at Kuala Lumpur Subang Airport.
Changing a livery on an airliner that is just under 40 meters long and nearly 12 meters tall is no joke, and the specialists at AirAsia, a company that applies special liveries fairly often, certainly did a great job with it.
You can see how it went in the video below.
While liveries inspired by video games are not new to the arlines industry, the most common are usually associated with the ultra-popular Pokemon franchise.
Liveries associated with other video games are certainly rarer. This one is especially industry because Persona 5 Royal definitely isn’t a new game that would usually be at the focus of an advertising push Even if we count the latest multiplatform launch, it released over two years ago.
We can only hope that fan artists will make this livery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Fenix’s Airbus A320 would be the perfect choice for to let us fly with the Persona 5 colors.
Persona 5 Royal is currently available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
