Straight4 Studios and Giants Software of Farming Simulator Fame released a new video about the upcoming racing simulator Project Motor Racing.
The video focuses on what feels basically like the cover car of the simulator, the Lister Storm GT, and shows how the real car was 3D scanned to support the modeling within the simulator.
As a bonus, we also get to see it in action and hear an interesting explanation of several of its features, which is always a nice additional perk.
You can watch the video below.
If you’re unfamiliar with Project Motorn Racing, it’s a brand-new racing simulator that will be released at some point in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It doesn’t yet have a release date. It uses Giants Software’s own engine, which has been powering the Farming Simulator franchise for a long time.
Project Motor Racing was originally born as GTRevival and Straight4 Studios is the team created by Ian Bell, founder of Slightly Mad Studios of Project Cars fame.
It’s certainly a title to watch for fans of racing simulators, and we’ll keep an eye on it. Just a few days ago, the developer revealed the Saleen S7 (another classic), and since we’re at it, below you can check out a gallery of screenshots to give you a good idea of what the Giants Engine can do in a completely different environment.
Bell Himself mentioned when the use of the engine was announced that it would allow the developer “to build a beautiful simulator while ensuring framerates do not suffer as a result.”
Speaking of Farming Simulator, tickets for FarmCon 25 are now available for purchase.
