Gryphline announced today that the upcoming free-to-play action RPG Arknights: Endfield is getting a beta test soon.
The test will be hosted on PC in mid-January 2025 and registrations are already available on the official site.
Since the game is free-to-play, the test won’t include any paid content and progress won’t be retained when the game actually launches. Registration doesn’t guarantee participation in the test and those selected will be notified via email after the registration period ends.
To celebrate the announcement, a rather fetching trailer was released, and you can watch it below.
The test version will have voiceovers in English, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese. Text support will be in English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The minimum and recommended settings are as follows.
- System: Windows 10 / 11 64-bit
- CPU:
- Recommended Intel Core i7-10700K or equivalent, or better CPUs
- Minimum Intel Core i5-9400F or equivalent, or better CPUs

- Minimum NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6G or equivalent, or better GPUs

There will be no NDA in place, so testers will be able to share screenshots or stream gameplay, with the caveat that it’s a work-in-progress, so things may change before the game releases.
While the test is conducted only on PC, the game is also coming for PS5, iOS, and Android.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Arknights IP, it was born as a popular mobile game that debuted in 2019 in China and in 2020 outside of the country, published by Yostar in the west.
While the original game is a turn-based strategy RPG, Arknights: Endfield makes the jump to home platforms and the action RPG genre, which will put it in direct competition with giants like Genshin Impact. It’ll be interesting to see how it’ll fare since the IP is fairly popular, so it certainly isn’t starting from zero.
