The Esports World Cup 2025 has announced that EA Sports FC 25 and Overwatch 2 will be returning as the 11th and 12th games for the event. In total, there will be 24 announced for the competition, which set to take place from June 2025 to August 2025.
EA Sports FC 25 and Overwatch 2 join Honor of Kings, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty Warzone, Free Fire, Street Fighter 6, Rainbow Six Siege, DOTA 2, Counter-Strike 2, PUBG Mobile, and Apex Legends as announced games.
Last year, Luna Galaxyās JoĆ£o “jafonsogv” Vasconcelos defeated Tuzzy E-Sportsā Gabriel “Young” Freitas 6-2 in EA Sports FC 25, while Crazy Raccoon beat Toronto Ultra 4-1 in the grand finals of Overwatch 2.
The Esports World Cup 2025 features a $60 million prize pool, with each game offering $1,250,000, spread across 1st through 16th place. The prizes per placement in each competition are as follows:
- 1st Place: $500,000
- 2nd Place: $230,000
- 3rd-4th Place: $100,000 each
- 5th-8th Place: $40,000 each
- 9th-16th Place: $20,000 each
So far, each game that has been announced has been a returning title from the 2024 event. If that trend continues, expect to see titles like Tekken 8, Rocket League, Fortnite, StarCraft II, Teamfight Tactics, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang fill up the final 12 slots.
