Today Activision had a rather interesting tease to share with fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty Warzone.
A quick teaser trailer shows a soldier picking up an invitation from Netflix’s Korean thriller show Squid Game.
In fact, the trailer teases a collaboration with the show that should come in January 2025. Unfortunately, no further details have been shared besides the mention of “an invite you can’t ignore.”
Whether it’s just going to be a bunch of skin of something much deeper like a gameplay mode, we’ll have to wait a see when further details are revealed.
In the meantime, you can watch the teaser below.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4, on top of Microsoft’s Game Pass on PC and on Xbox (excluding the Game Pass Core service)
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game mode available for the same platforms.
If you’re unfamiliar with Squid Game, it’s a South Korean survival thriller TV series that debuted on Netflix in 2021. Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, it tells the story of a contest in which hundreds of players risk their lives in the hope of winning enough money to fix their financial problems.
A second season will actually start airing this month on Netflix, while a third is already being filmed and will debut in 2025. It’s said to be the final season of the story.
