The original title translates into “Poem of the End of the Century” but the official art includes the English title “The Last Poem” albeit for now the game has been announced only with Traditional Chinese and Japanese language support.

It’ll come to Steam in 2026 and a crowdfunding project to support its development will start next year.

You can check out the art mentioned above and the first trailer below.

The game will be a collaboration between Chinese and Japanese creators. The screenplay will be by Tomo Kataoka of Christmas Tina and Narcissu fame, while the character design is by Werkbau, who recently worked on Persona 5: The Phantom X.

The concept art is by Ryuko Oishi, the music is composed by bermei.inazawa, the theme song is performed by anNina, while Gu Luo will return as Director and Chief Producer.

Further staff and voice actors will be announced down the line.

The visual novel is set in 1999, 11 years after Christmas Tina, and tells the story of the encounter between a Japanese person and a Chinese person in Akihabara.

Incidentally, the press release also mentioned that Christmas Tina itself (which is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS) has sold 400,000 copies, which is certainly very flattering for a visual novel nowadays.

This is certainly a prolific time for visual novels old and new, with Mages announcing a reboot of Steins;Gate and remasters of Never 7: The End of Infinity and Ever 17: The Out of Infinity, Aquaplus announcing a remake of To Heart, and the localization of Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien finally arriving after 23 years.
