McDonnell Douglas MD-11 for Microsoft Flight Simulator and P3D Gets Update and Details About Future Development
TFDi Design is working on updating its McDonnell Douglas MD-11, starting with a newly-released update including a sound pack by Echo 19 including the following.
- Brand new recordings for the interior sounds.
- Improved volume for mechanical sounds
- Pack sound in the cabin
- Added location to cockpit sounds so they are no longer audible in the cabin
- Fixed APU sound location
- Improved ground roll sounds
- Improved wind sounds
- Improved overall balance, stereo field, etc.
You can sample the new sounds below. It’s worth mentioning that this is mostly for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
On top of that, the developer is working on updating the exterior model, and below you can see a few examples. Soon, the developer will work on the updated paint and textures.
The code is being updated as well mostly revolving around a revision of the ILS system, including capture and tracking on top of autoland performance. Work is also being done on the engines, while next week the developer plans on working on bug fixing and addressing quality-of-life issues like the lack of SimBrief import in the P3D version.
Rangiroa Airport Released for Free for Microsoft Flight Simulator
Givenchy987 has released another of their airports in French Polynesia, and this time it’s Rangiroa Airport (NTTG).
It’s available for the affordable price of zero dollars on Flightsim.to.
Blumenau Airport Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator for Free
Ghost Gameplay released a small airport in Brazil, Blumenau Airport (SSBL), located in the South Region of the South American country.
It’s available on Flightsim.to for free.
Gulfstream G650 Released for X-Plane
AKD Studio released the Gulfstream G650 for X-Plane 11 and 12. It’s available on X-Plane.org for $44.95.
You can read a full list of features (it’s fairly long) on the store page, but the aircraft comes with both standard and Extended Range versions.
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport Announced for X-Plane
Fly2High announced that it’s working on a Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport KSAV) for X-Plane 11 and 12.
According to the developer, the airport is “coming soon.”
