During Marvel‘s New York Comic-Con panel, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games announced the inevitable PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Initially released for PS5 in October 2023, the game will reach a gaming PC near you on Steam and Epic Games Store a little more than a year later, on January 30, 2025.
The announcement was accompanied by a trailer, which you can watch below.
Pre-orders will grant the following bonuses:
- Arachknight Suit early unlock for Peter with three color variants
- Shadow-Spider Suit early unlock for Miles with three color variants
- Web Grabber gadget early unlock
- +3 Skill Points
There is also a digital deluxe edition with the following content (yes, part of it is the same stuff you’d get with a pre-order).
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Arachknight Suit early unlock for Peter with three color variants
- Shadow-Spider Suit early unlock for Miles with three color variants
- Web Grabber gadget early unlock
- 10 exclusive suits for Peter and Miles (five each)
- Additional Photo Mode items
- +5 Skill Points
It’s worth mentioning that while pre-order bonuses have been announced, pre-ordering isn’t available just yet. All you can do is wishlist the game on both storefronts.
If you’re wondering, development is being handled in collaboration with Nixxes Software, which has been at the forefront of PC ports for Sony Interactive Entertainment since its acquisition in 2021.
Incidentally, Sony is already cautioning users that a PlayStation Network account will be required to play, so if you want to partake, you better be prepared to join Sony’s digital ecosystem.
