Zenless Zone Zero is celebrating its first anniversary with Version 2.0, and HoYoverse has revealed details about the upcoming version, including the release date, anniversary rewards, characters, and more.

To start with, Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 is taking Proxis to Waifei Peninsula, a remote district of New Eridu. There, they’ll learn more about Phaethon and the areas around the Waifei Peninsula, including Yunkui Summit, Suibian Temple, Failume Heights, and more.

Additionally, Proxies will meet characters like Grandmaster Yixuan, Ju Fufu, and Pan Yinhu, who are all coming in Version 2.0’s character banners.

Yixuan is an S-Rank Agent who damages enemies regardless of their Defense. She uses True Force, which scales with her Attack and Max HP. Yixuan also has two different forms of her Ultimate, and she uses Adrenaline instead of Energy to build them up.

By her side is Ju Fufu, an S-Rank Fire Stun Agent who uses Might and Momentum points to deal Physical and Fire damage. Her chain attacks boost the squad’s Crit Damage and other chain attacks and Ultimates.

The last new character on the banners is Pan Yinhu, an A-Rank Physical Defense Agent, a panda chef. Additionally, S-Rank Agents Astra Yao and Caesar will return on the Version 2.0 banners. A new S-Rank Bangboo, Belion, will also be on the banner.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 is also getting several new features. First, there’s a new way to explore the Hollow in Waifei Peninsula, along with new commissions from the Lost Void. Players will also be able to equip multiple Gears to different Agents, which should make the game’s strategy deeper than before.

A new 3D map and navigation features will help players explore New Eridu as a whole, including the Hollows. Fissure Beacons are also coming to the map, which are points that players can teleport to and heal/revive/reset their teams as needed. This should make combat a bit easier and more efficient.

As for one-year anniversary rewards, players have quite a bit to look forward to. Version 2.0 will allow players to choose one S-Rank Agent and one S-Rank W-Engine from the Stable Channel to receive for free. They’ll also get 1,600 Polychromes, an anniversary-exclusive title, and an avatar when Version 2.0 launches.

There will also be challenges and commissions during Version 2.0 that will give players up to 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 10 Boopons, and new Outfits for the male and female protagonists.

Zenless Zone Zero will be launching on Xbox Series X|S on June 6, right before the Version 2.0 launch. Xbox players can pre-order the game with a Starter Pack now.

Additionally, new players (whether on Xbox or any other system) will be able to immediately go to Version 2.0’s story after completing the Season One Chapter Two Interlude.
