HoYoverse has revealed new details on Version 1.6 of Zenless Zone Zero, which will release on March 12 with new S-Rank agents, main story content, bosses, gameplay mechanics, and events.
The new story content will take players on a journey to secure a Sacrifice-related item from an auction. During this, Hugo and Vivian get closer to the Proxies, though no one’s sure if they’re friend or foe. Additionally, players will learn more about Anby’s life before she joined the Cunning Hares, learning more about New Eridu’s military.
This leads players to learn about Soldier 0-Anby, one of the new S-Rank Agents. She’s an Electric Attack Agent, and her dual swords deal quick Electric damage that can also trigger aftershock and apply crit damage for allies who are attacking the same enemy.
The second S-Rank Agent coming in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.8 is Trigger, an Electric Stun Agent. Trigger has a Sniper Mode that lets her evade enemies and call in allies for a Quick Assist. When she attacks, she accumulates Purge. Purge enhances Aftershock damage and the damage that allies deal to the same enemy.
S-Rank Agents Burnice and Zhuyuan will also return, alongside A-Rank Agent Pulchra Fellini.
Version 1.6 will include a new boss in Hollow Zero, Geppetto. Battlefront Purge will also have a new difficulty, Difficulty VI. Additionally, players will be able to experience the new Shadow Operation gameplay in Hollow Zero. This game mode triggers effects in every battle stage.
Trigger’s TV Schedule will let players explore a third-person shooter mode while completing sniper missions. Plus, a new event named March On, Tiny Titan will give players the chance to be a Bangboo drone. The Bangboo craze continues in the Little Knight’s Big Charge event, which asks players to help a Bangboo complete trials.
Rewards for the events include several exclusive rewards, along with A-Rank Agent Pulchra.
HoYoverse has focused a lot of effort into improving the game, and Version 1.6 is no different. There will be a few optimizations for character progression mechanics.
