Zenless Zone Zero has announced that Version 1.4 will be released on December 18, and with it comes exciting news for the community as new features are coming along with major overhauls to some systems.
The first major change comes to the TV mode in the Main Story Stages. These have been reworked completely with story stages, letting players directly dive into the action while Eous explores the Hollows. In future updates, TV mode will no longer be released with new story stages.
The next major change comes to teams. Version 1.4 makes it so that Decibels aren’t shared between party members. This means that everyone builds their Ultimates up individually, and they can be used back to back. This is a pretty significant change and could change the meta as some Agents’ abilities may set up for others well.
Last but not least is the ability to walk around New Eridu as any Agent. Up until Version 1.4, players have only been able to see the world as Proxies unless they’re actively in combat. Version 1.4 will let players choose from their Agents while they walk around, something the community is highly anticipating.
As for new features, there’s quite a bit coming with Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4.
A new Quality Time Mode will let players spend time with their Agents, while new combat modes add the Lost Void and Reverb Arena. Plus, Hollow Zero is getting a major update called Shadows Lost, and a new periodic operation, Deadly Assault, will be released as well. Additionally, a Quick Sweep feature for the Shiyu Defense challenges will be released.
The story in Version 1.4 follows the Proxies as Perlman wakes up, and players will learn even more about Belle and Wise’s backstories. Plus, New Eridu Public Security is going through an intense election. By the end, players will be exploring Port Elpis as a new threat reveals its ugly head.
Two new S-Rank Agents will come with Version 1.4: Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa. Miyabi is a Frost Anomaly Agent, and she can trigger special effects with her katana. Harumasa is an Electric Agent who can switch between a bow and a blade as he marks his targets. Plus, the S-Rank Bangboo, Agent Gulliver, will be released at the same time.
Players will get Harumasa for free once they reach Interknot Level 8.
And lastly, the PlayStation 5 Pro version of Zenless Zone Zero will also be released on December 18. This will have better performance with ray-tracing technology. Players can check out a gallery of images of what to expect below:
