Rivi, a solo independent developer, has released a PC demo of Yume Roof, a cozy sandbox game where players can create their ideal rooftop.
Yume Roof takes players to a voxel-built Japanese apartment building, where players will decorate and create their own rooftops, as well as their own rooms. By decorating, players can raise their stats. By doing so, more furniture is unlocked.
There’s also a crafting system in Yume Roof. Players can gather materials to craft various furniture pieces with, giving their space even more of a personal touch.
For players who want an even more relaxing experience, there’s a Creative Mode where players can use any of the game’s items anywhere they want. In Creative Mode, the time of day can also be adjusted, creating the ideal ambiance.
The Yume Roof demo is in Creative Mode, giving players the freedom to explore the possibilities the game will offer when it’s released. It includes 60 unique items, a global color palette, and character customization.
Players also have plenty of customization options in the process, too. Players can not only customize the furniture, but also the nature around. Plus, there are a variety of items to customize the player’s character, too.
Yume Roof also has a camera mode, where players can take gorgeous pictures of their designs. There are also emotes, so players can take fun (or goofy) pictures of their characters in their setups. Players will also be able to fine-tune the facial expressions of their character, paving the way for nearly endless opportunities.
There’s no release date for Rume Yoof yet, but it will be sometime in February of 2026, and it’ll be released on PC. The demo is available on Steam.
