The patch is numbered 12.3.0 and it’s dubbed “Weather Update.” It’s now available for download both on Steam and on the stand-alone client without needing to join the beta.

Its titular feature is the new weather radar that lets you scan clouds and precipitation in full 3D space in front of your aircraft

Another weather-related feature is the native implementation of Historic weather, which lets you load METAR data from up to a year back in time.

On top of that, the default Airbus A330 has been considerably improved in visuals, systems, and effects, and synthetic vision has been added to the default X-1000 avionics package (basically an unlicensed Garmin G1000).

Of course, the weather radar and the synthetic vision are also available for third-party developers to use on their aircraft.

Dubai International Airport (OMDB) also received a fully custom version, while cockpit lighting has been improved across all aircraft, including a reduction of specular aliasing.

Speaking of aircraft, several of them received individual improvements.
