Earlier this week, Focus Entertainment released brand new info regarding the next exciting update for its hit action third-person shooter, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, which was all about a brand new wave-based gameplay, Siege Mode. Today, the developers outlined even more content that is coming to the title as part of its post-year-one roadmap.
The first reveal was that both free and DLC content, included in a new yearly season pass, is on the way, featuring new PvE missions, enemies, weapons, and more. To celebrate the first anniversary of Warhammer 40 K: Space Marine 2, the 10.0 major update is planned for September.
In contrast, update 9.0 will focus on balancing changes, rather than introducing new content, meaning the PvP mode will be postponed until the 10.0 update. This mode will take place on a new map and feature, with opposing sides, but it won’t be Loyalist vs. Chaos, as in regular PvP; instead, it will be Chaos vs. Chaos.

This mode will also let you take control of the new Helbrute and wield a brand new melee weapon, the Power Axe, which will have its own moveset, execution animations, and more. New Chaos armour will be added to the game, allowing you to show off your chaotic flair as you wage civil war.
Last but not least, the brand new class for PvE and PvP has finally been revealed: the Techmarine. At the moment, info regarding the class is still a bit lacking, but the developers promised more would be revealed in the next community updates.
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC starting at $35.99. For more information on this and other Warhammer titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily, as Focus Entertainment promised that more Community Updates will drop later in July and August.
