VRChat has released Version 2025.4.1, and it’s got several highlights, including the highly beloved Boop feature, the ability to sign in using Discord, a new Live Now tab, and more.
First, the Boop feature is back. This was first brought to the game in Open Beta last year, but developers pulled it after it wasn’t quite up to par. The community loved it and asked for it back, and now it’s here and working as intended.
The Boop feature lets players send a Boop notification to their friends, complete with an emote. Those who subscribe to VRC+ can attach custom and animated emotes, too. Now players can send those emotes they’re purchasing from the shop introduced in the last update.
Another new feature is the ability to log in to VRChat with Discord. Players can link their Discord and VRChat accounts, and new users can make an account with VRChat using Discord.
There’s also a new Live Now tab on the Main Menu, replacing the Launchpad tab. This tab will give you all the live events going on in VRChat, and players will be able to join the events from the new tab. It also shows where Friends and Groups are currently.
While the Live Now tab is part of VRChat Version 2025.4.1, it’s being rolled out for everyone in waves. Not everyone will see the new tab as soon as they update the game.
Version 2025.4.1 is also bringing new features for world creators, including support for World PhysBones, Contacts, and Constraints. Additionally, players will be unable to join instances that were opened with older versions of the world (unless the version of the world has a fully compatible network layout).
That’s not everything the new version has in store — there are a plethora of bug fixes and changes for both PC and Android that players can see in the full patch notes here.
