The update is numbered 1.14.0, and as you may imagine from that .0 at the end, it’s a pretty major one.

The big poster feature is the ability to track your punctuality. You can either set your schedule manually or import it from Simbrief. Volanta will then track whether you’re on time, late, or early. Said tracking can be done both in simulator time and in real time.

You can also recover accidentally deleted flights from the new trash page, and more.

Of course, there’s also the usual ratio of fixes to improve the overall experience.

You can check out the full patch notes below, straight from the app’s Discord server.

Enhancements

  • Punctuality adds the ability to set scheduled times on your flight and know if you’re on time, delayed or late. Scheduled times can be populated by importing from SimBrief, our schedules or manually. If scheduled times are not applicable for your flight (or you’re not interested in tracking these statistics), you can hide them with the arrow on the top right.
    • You can track punctuality either in real-time or following simulator time, if you want to track a flight scheduled earlier in the day or are expecting to pause the simulator.
  • The new trash page, available from the sidebar, allows accidentally deleted flights to be recovered for 30 days after their initial deletion.
  • Improved the parsing of MSFS2024 PLN files by including runway numbers, SID and STAR procedures and the coordinates of custom waypoints.
  • Landing events will now appear on top of the flight path in 3D mode and will no longer be obscured by it.
  • We added new icons for: P28B, S22T, P32R, P32T, HUNT, B78X, DHC6, P3, S92, AT8T, UAV (generic drone) as well as YS11 submitted by Hexe – thank you very much!

Fixes

  • Fixed flight paths not being visible when selecting individual flights while logged out in the web version.
  • Fixed some flights endlessly loading when opened directly from a link.
  • Fixed predictive tracking path not appearing behind selected aircraft.
  • Fixed some avatar aerocache circles being drawn on the map in a way where they didn’t actually contain the aerocache.
  • Fixed some MSFS2024 autosave issues for Microsoft Store versions.
  • Fixed extra scrollbars sometimes appearing on the screenshots tab on your active flight.
  • Improved performance, especially on Macs running M-series chips.

If you’re unfamiliar with Volanta, it’s a flight-tracking application published by Orbx that is free to download and comes with a growing set of features on top of the basic ability to track your flights.

You can also opt to pay a premium subscription monthly or yearly to unlock even more advanced features like Scheduled pause and more.

Volanta is platform-agnostic, so it worls with all major flight simulators, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, DCS World, Prepar3D, and more.

It’s currently available for PC, iOS, and Android, on top of a handy web browser version, which you can check out without an account to see who’s flying at any given time.
