Volanta v1.10.8 Released With Handy Scheduled Pause Feature for Premium Users

Volanta Logo

Today Orbx released a new update for its flight tracking suite for flight simulator Volanta, numbered v1.10.8.

For premium users, the update adds a really handy feature, letting you set up Volanta to pause your simulator when certain conditions are met.

It could be at the Top of Descent or any number of Nautical miles before it, at a given distance from your destination airport, at any waypoint of your route filed with ATC, or at a specific time.

Interestingly, you can also pause the from a different client that isn’t directly connected from the simulator or from the website, with support for the mobile app coming at a later time.

The update also comes with a number of newly supported aircraft and more, you can check out the full patch notes below, courtesy of Volanta’s official Discord server.

If you’re unfamiliar with Volanta, it’s a flight-tracking application that you can download for free. If you want to unlock more features including the scheduled pause mentioned above, you can also opt into a premium subscription payable monthly or yearly.

The app is platform-agnostic, so it’s compatible with major simulators including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, DCS World, and Prepar3D, It’s available on PC, iOS, and Android.

Just a few weeks ago, we saw how it unveiled plenty of interesting statistics about the launch of the popular Airbus A380 by FlyByWire.

Speaking of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, you can check out our comparison against MSFS 2020 and an in-depth report on how much data it really downloads from the cloud.

You can also watch our latest interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann, the previous interview with Jorg Neumann himself and Asobo CEO Sebastian Wlochanother with Asobo CCO David Dedeine, and one featuring Chris Burnett of Working Title and Brandon Yaeger of Got Friends about their work on MSFS 2024.
