The update is numbered v1.11.3, and it comes with some quality-of-life improvements to make your experience smoother, like the addition of a refresh option when checking for Simbrief plans.

There is also a plethora of fixes, which never hurt.

Below you can find the full patch notes, shared on the official Discord server.

Enhancements

  • Added a refresh option when checking for Simbrief plans.
  • The “select all” option when editing multiple flights will now respect the current filters applied.
  • The size limit on aircraft images has been increased.

Fixes

  • Fixed the flight path and aircraft icon not being visible on web clients sometimes.
  • Fixed 3D path spikes at certain zoom levels.
  • Fixed 3D paths cutting straight when flying straight and level for extended time.
  • Fixed the flight path of other users’ staying on the screen when clicking on a life flight and going back before it finishes loading.
  • Fixed long airline names overflowing aircraft dropdowns.
  • Fixed the simulator connection tooltip sometimes showing an untranslated string.
  • Fixed the aircraft image uploader on active flights not showing the actual size limit.
  • Fixed the aircraft image gallery staying in loading state after an image upload error.

If you’re unfamiliar with Volanta, it’s a flight-tracking application developed by Orbx that you can download and use for free, including plenty of features on top of the ability to track your flights.

If they want to unlock advanced features, users can opt into a premium subscription, payable monthly or yearly.

The app is platform-agnostic, so it’s compatible with all major simulators, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, DCS World, Prepar3D, and more.

It’s currently available on PC, iOS, and Android, and it also has a web browser version, which you can check out without an account to see who’s flying at any given time.

Volanta has also proved to be an interesting way to keep track of what’s happening and what is popular in the flight simulation world. For instance, we recently saw how Volanta unveiled plenty of interesting statistics about the launch of the popular Airbus A380 by FlyByWire.
