ViewApp, the developer behind City Transport Simulator: Tram, has announced that it’s fully taking over the publishing of the sim.
Previously, Dovetail Games managed the publishing of the game. However, ViewApp owns and develops City Transport Simulator: Tram.
By taking over the publishing and management of the sim, ViewApp can directly control the future of its game. It plans to have a long-term strategy for keeping City Transport Simulator: Tram alive.
Daniel Buda, the CEO of ViewApp, explained in a bit more detail:
“With this step, we can respond even more effectively to the needs and wishes of our community and drive the further development of the City Transport Simulator series in the best possible way. We’ve been planning a lot and working behind the scenes and are excited to reveal our future roadmap at our major online event in just a few weeks.”
The good news is that things are only getting better for players. Everything currently in City Transport Simulator: Tram will stay the same, and future content will come quicker and involve the community more than ever.
ViewApp plans to discuss more about the details of the simulator later this month. So far, the group announced that it’s planning new features, more vehicles, and a bigger map. This was shown off in a reveal trailer about ViewApp’s newest role in the life of City Transport Simulator: Tram, which fans can view below:
City Transport Simulator: Tram isn’t the only simulation game ViewApp has had its hands in. It’s also the developer of CityDriver and TramSim. Both of these games are published by Aerosoft, a popular simulation publisher.
The news comes after what ViewApp called a “successful collaboration” with Dovetail Games, so it doesn’t seem like there’s any bad feelings between the two studios. ViewApp even thanked the Dovetail team for its role in making the simulator what it has become.
City Transport Simulator: Tram is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
