Nightingale

Since it’s the weekend, things are a little slower in the gaming industry. Yet, developers still have news to share about their games.

Like every day, we publish a roundup with the news that didn’t get individual articles, to provide you with a better bird-eye view on what’s happening with your favorite games.

Yet, before we get into it, here are handy links to the news that did get their own individual coverage.

Now, without further ado, I leave you with the news. Do keep in mind that if you are interested in Flight Simulation news, we have a separate dedicated roundup for that.

Nightingale Developers Discuss The Road Ahead

Nightingale has been in early access for six months, and the developers at Inflexion Games released a video to discuss how far the game has come and the road ahead, also promising update news coming next week.

We hear from CEO Aaryn Flynn and Art and Audio Director Neil Thomson that the developers are not satisfied with where the game is at, with the overall sentiment, and with the player numbers, so they have put a lot of effort into making changes over the past three months.

The team has been discussing what is core to experience and should stay the same, and what can be improved. One major improvement in the plans is to bring more structure to the overall experience, more sense of progression, a better understanding of what the player can do, and of the differences between realms.

A big change that’s coming is to build limits, upping the number of pieces players can use to build their structures. These changes are coming with a big update toward the end of the summer.

It’s worth mentioning that the game went from Mixed to Mostly Positive recent reviews on Steam, so what the developers have been doing did have an effect on reception.
