Millennia Expansion “Ancient Worlds” Announced

Today Paradox Interactive and C Prompt Games announced an expansion to the Civilization-style game Millennia. Titled “Ancient Worlds,” it’ll be released alongside a free update on August 12, 2024.

According to the announcement, the expansion focuses on the early human experience and enables a new quick start ruleset including three rules, Nomad Band Start, Frozen Terrain Start, and Megafauna Dens.

While the first two are pretty self-explanatory, Megafauna Dens adds large dangerous animals, Mastodons and Smilodons, which will threaten your budding civilization and are more dangerous than barbarians at the beginning of the game.

The expansion will also introduce the Messengers national spirit designed to help you interact with minor nations in a new way, encouraging their population to immigrate into your homeland region while the minor nation itself is turned into an outpost.
