Mortal Kombat 1 Expansion Kaos Reigns Announced
Warner Bros. Games and Netherrealm Studios announced an expansion for the fighting game Mortal Kombat 1, titled “Kaos Reigns.”
The expansion will release on September 24, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, And PC. It will include a new cinematic story and more combatants, Noob Saibot, Cyrax, and Sektor.
We also hear about the Kombat Pack 2, including six DLC fighters. Ghostface from the Scream horror franchise, T-1000 from the Terminator franchise, and Conan the Barbarian are three guest fighters announced today.
A free content update for everyone who purchased the game will bring back Animalities and an MK 95 Scorpion skin.
Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream Showcases Yuuki.
If you’re a Sword Art Online fan, this is bound to summon some feelings. Today Bandai Namco released a trailer featuring Yuuki, who will return in the new Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream JRPG. Leave it to gaming to bring back the dead.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Might Come to PS4
Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda mentioned on his X (formerly Twitter account) that the company has received many requests for a PS4 version of the remaster of the popular action-adventure hack-and-slash remaster Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP.
While he did not make explicit promises, he did mention that the studio wants to meet the requests of gamers, and we should “wait for an announcement as soon as the schedule is finalized.”
On top of that, LimitedRunGames is releasing physical versions of this revival of a beloved piece of gaming history including the Cheerleader Edition, which you can see above. Pre-orders are open now.
The game releases digitally on September 25, 2024, and for now, the confirmed platforms are PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Mirthwood Release Date Revealed
The open-world RPG life sim Mirthwood, openly inspired by games like Fable, Stardew Valley, Rimworld, and The Sims, now has a release date.
The game, which is created by a two-man indie team named Bad Ridge Games, will come on September 11, 2024. If you’d like to see more, you can already find a demo on Steam.
