Earlier this week, Ramjet Studios officially announced that its hit zombie survival game, Vein, was ready for early access. Today, they debuted some of the plans they have in place for the upcoming release, including hotfixes and bugfixes they will be implementing to update 0.021 so that everything is good to go by the end of the month.

In the latest Vein Weekly update, the developers noted that many of the changes introduced in 0.021 were due to user feedback, including bugs such as hosts turning invisible when lockpicking, the lights in the school not casting any light, some corpses being invisible, reducing how many zombies spawn in interiors, and increasing the distance you can move furniture.

The long-standing bug caused furniture movement distances to be unaffected by strength, car alarms going off immediately when entering an area, and increased the capacity of buildable fluid barrels have all also been fixed. Alongside these fixes, some other quality-of-life changes are also being addressed.

A mastered version of the soundtrack has been added by the game’s musician, Remancer, and the volume on it has been normalized so that it sounds much clearer. Load screens also get an improvement, getting better graphics and quicker load times for players to enjoy.

In-game-wise, more death screen stats are being added, like tracking individual animals that get killed, which have been implemented for achievements that are being added in down the line. Other Early Access prep includes adding new zombie sounds, making tractors drivable, an update to The Farm, and adding art to electronic scraps.

Arguably, the most significant change revealed in the post is the size of the map is going to be. As you can see in the image below, the demo area consists of only a small portion of the map that is set to be available in the upcoming release.

Vein is set to release in early access on October 24, 2025, for PC (Steam). For more information on the game, including the upcoming roadmap for the title, and other upcoming zombie titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
