Today, Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room have showcased one of the important clans that make up the underworld of their upcoming blood-sucking RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.

The Banu Haqim adheres to a strict code, whether it be blood laws, personal ethics, governmental, or religious rules. Interestingly enough, they are also not tied to any specific geographical location or background, hailing from all over the world, and adhering to their strict convictions, rather than being tied to any particular faith.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, joing this clan lets you start with “Celerity”, “Blood Sorcery”, and “Obfuscate” as clan affinities, and “Silence of Death: All your actions become entirely silent for a period after feeding” as the passive ability. Then, as the game progresses, you’ll be able to unlock the following Banu Haqim disciplines:

  • Bladed Hand – Slash swiftly in front of you, beheading weaker opponents.
  • Split Second – Move so fast that time appears to stop around you.
  • Mute – Silence your target’s screams and weapons.
  • Unseen Aura – Become temporarily invisible to enemies and civilians.
  • Unseen Passage – Clan Perk: Can remain crouched whilst sprinting.

For those who haven’t heard about the game yet, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the sequel to the cult classic Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, letting players step into its story through two distinct, alternating perspectives: Elder vampire Phyre and Malkavian detective Fabien. To survive as each, you’ll need to navigate Camarilla politics and master one of six clans: Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, Ventrue, Toreador, or Lasombra.

Every choice matters in the game, as they’ll have significant consequences based on whether you choose to protect the Masquerade or go into business for yourself. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be released on October 21, 2025, and will be available on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

While you wait for its release, you can check out all of the development diaries that The Chinese Room has released, which detail everything from other clans in the game to the fashion design characters will have access to.
