Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania is bringing the two franchises together on October 31, 2024, in the biggest DLC for Vampire Survivors yet.
While Ode to Castlevania is the third crossover Vampire Survivors has done, it’s arguably one of the most important. As developer Luca Galante said in the news about the DLC, Vampire Survivors was influenced by Castlevania and would have looked very different without that influence.
As such, this is the biggest and most impressive DLC to come to Vampire Survivors. It will feature every hero from the Castlevania universe, adding over 20 characters. There are also over 40 weapons and evolutions coming in the DLC, along with one stage. Over 30 music covers will also be featured.
The new stage will be the biggest one in Vampire Survivors, with several biomes and special map icons. As for the weapons, they’ve been adjusted to suit the gameplay of Vampire Survivors while also being flexible between characters.
The Ode to Castlevania DLC will be $3.99/€3.99 /£2.99, but there is a free update coming with it for everyone. This will be the next update among the many that Vampire Survivors has put out, like the 1.11 Darkasso update from August.
This is focused on several quality-of-life improvements, like an improved music selector, new passives, more zoom, and better memory usage. More details on these changes will come later.
