Today, Valorant Esports announced that Champions 2026 will be held in Shanghai as the major Valorant event travels through the esports regions.
Valorant Champions is the culmination of the Valorant esports season. While it’s in Paris this year, the event is purposefully traveling to different regions around the world to bring the excitement to fans around the world.
Valorant Champions 2026 will be in Shanghai for the first time. This isn’t the first time Valorant Esports has held major events in the city, though. Masters Shanghai 2024 was a major event that set a record-breaking viewership count.
Not only that, but VCT China has a hyped-up history. The region was launched last year, and it claimed a world championship title the same season. That infectious energy has Valorant Esports hopeful for another knockout event at the Mercedes-Benz Arena next year.
Now, Valorant Champions is adding the city to its future lineup. The 2026 event will be the third city in the regional rotation since the VCT started it back in 2024 in Seoul. 2027 will complete this idea with a competition in the Americas.
More information about dates, tickets, and other details will be released in the future — more than likely, it’ll be next year before we get more news on specifics since Valorant Champions 2025 is still on the horizon.
