Train Sim World 6 Stuttgart – Heilbronn Release Date Announced

Train Sim World 6 Stuttgart - Heilbronn

Last month, Dovetail Games gave a first look at the newest Train Sim World 6 route, Frankenbahn: Stuttgart – Heilbronn, showcasing a bunch of info about what’s coming in the add-on. Today, an official release date of December 9, 2025, was announced.

Alongside the release date, more timetable info was revealed for Train Sim World 6 Stuttgart – Heilbronn, with additional layers to be added in a post-release patch, including AI ICE traffic featuring the ICE 1 and ICE 3 from Kassel-Würzburg. The ICE 1 handles most of the ICE traffic, including filling in for a few ICE 2 services, while the ICE 3 runs Expo Express trains (1 each way) out of the map to Hannover.

The developers recorded real-world audio for the BR 140 to ensure the in-game sounds are as realistic and immersive as possible. You can see a preview for the route below:

Speaking of sound effects, the new Wittenberger cab car will be compatible with locomotives from previous Train Sim World Add-ons. You can find out more quality of life changes coming in the add-on here.

Train Sim World 6 Frankenbahn: Stuttgart – Heilbronn is set to transport fans back to 2000, when you’ll be able to traverse the Enzbrücke before its 2006 replacement, experiencing it all with backdated motive power. The route runs from the banks of the Neckar into Baden-Württemberg suburbia, featuring a 51 km section of the Frankenbahn between Stuttgart Hbf and Heilbronn Hbf, and 15 detailed stations.

The expansion is set to launch soon for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Epic Games Store, and Steam for $39.99. For more information on this and other new routes, like the TfW Class 142 or Cargo Line Volume 5, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
