Muv-Luv Tactics Introduces Two New Characters
Today the developers of the upcoming Muv-Luv strategy simulation RPG Muv-Luv Tactics: Nightmare of Kalidasa revealed two new characters, starting with Major General Giáp Dũng Cu’ơng of the Vietnamese army.
He descends from the powerful Giáp family, which has produced many heroes for the army in Vietnam. He’s very approachable and always speaks of his dreams of romance with over-the-top gestures.
His charismatic way of talking is enough to motivate the soldiers who listen even when the mission at hand appears to be impossible.
He is 45 years old, 166 cm tall, his blood type is AB, and he likes his values, his dreams of romance, and creating value from nothing. He dislikes negative thinking and people with vested interests.
We then meet Shogo Tokinaga, Lieutenant Colonel of the Imperial Japanese Army. Due to his experience on the continent, he was sent as an observer to the Great East Asia Allied Forces to investigate covert activities of the US military. After engaging in combat with a mysterious American unit, the protagonist and her unit are forcibly transferred under his command.
He always puts the Japanese national interest first, and although he speaks politely to military personnel of other countries, he does not show consideration for them.
He’s 38 years old and 171 cm tall. His blood type is B and he likes patriotism, the national interest, sake, and mascot characters. He dislikes thoughtlessness, irrational behavior, and selfishness.
The game is currently being crowdfunded on Campfire with 33% of 60 million yen currently pledged and 9 days to go. If you want to contribute, you can do so on the campaign’s official page.

Black Desert Shares Deadeye Backstory in Comic Book Video Form
Following the reveal of the new Deadeye class for Black Desert, we get to take a look at her backstory in a video with comic-book-style art, quite appropriate to the fact that she’s an American isekai-ed to the world of the popular MMORPG.
Black Desert is available for PC (called Black Desert Mobile) for PS4 and Xbox One (simply called Black Desert) and for iOS and Android (called Black Desert Mobile).
The console version will also get native ports for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in the first half of 2025.
