Genshin Impact Citlali

The gaming industry has delivered more gaming news today, including a look at an upcoming character for Genshin Impact and more. Today it’s all about free-to-play games.

Here at Simulation Daily, we publish roundups with more gaming news that couldn’t be covered in individual articles, to keep you up to date with the work and games from a wider variety of developers than we otherwise could.

Before we get into the news here are handy links to gaming news that did get its own separate coverage.

You can check out all the news below. Incidentally, if you’re interested specifically in flight simulation news, we have a dedicated roundup.

Genshin Impact Introduces New Character Citlali

HoYoverse showcased a new trailer focusing on Citlali, also known as “Granny Itztli,” who will join the popular free-to-play game with version 5.3 on January 1, 2025.

Above you can check out the version with English voice-overs. If you’d rather listen to the Japanese voices, you can find that version on the official YouTube channel.

Muv-Luv Dimensions Won’t Get an Offline Version But the Story Will Be Published Somehow

Today aNCHOR and NextNinja hosted a livestream to explain the shutdown of the mobile game Muv-Luv Dimensions and mention some of the plans for the few months before the game becomes completely unavailable.

Disappointingly, the creation of an offline version isn’t planned, but aNCHOR pledged to deliver the main story outside of the app. For the moment, they are considering providing it in novel form on web services like Note, and details will be shared on social media as soon as finalized.

There are also no plans to deliver new events from here to the game’s shutdown in July, but the developers are planning to make all pilots summonable again, starting with an “All Star” banner that you can see above that uses normal summoning tickets.

They also answered the question of whether the Muv-Luv series will continue, and while that’s obvious (considering that we’re getting another game, Muv-Luv Tactics: Nightmare of Kalidasa), fans will be relieved to know that yes, the series will endure.
