Project Zomboid Art

While today is Thanksgiving, it’s business as usual for gaming news, including updates and DLC, on top of a look at the future of Project Zomboid.

Here at Simulation Daily, we publish roundups with more gaming news that couldn’t be covered in individual articles, to keep you up to date with the work and games from a wider variety of developers than we otherwise could.

Before we get into it here are handy links to gaming news that did get its own separate coverage.

Incidentally, if you’re interested in gaming news specifically about flight simulation, we have a dedicated roundup.

Project Zomboid Developers Provide Update on Build 42

Today the good folks at The Indie Stone provided more details about the upcoming Build 42 of their early-access zombie survival game Project Zomboid, which has been in the works for a long time.

Below you can see what should make it into the Unstable version of the build, which should be ready for public consumption before Christmas, albeit the developers are ready to delay it if necessary.

We also get several videos showing the build menu, the animal menu, alongside a comparison of how sneaking will work.

Since zombies will be much more numerous at points of interest with good loot due to changes to their spawning mechanics, sneaking will be improved, with zombies’ awareness now hampered by the weather like fog, obstacles like fences and cars, and more.

Since it’s Thanksgiving, we also get a themed video with wild turkeys, which will be in the Unstable build. You can find many more details about it all on the official post on Steam.
