Flight Simulation developers shared news today, including aircraft and airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020.

FSS Provides Update on Embraer E-Jets, Confirms Boeing 727-100, and More
FlightSim Studio had a pretty extensive update about its projects to share, starting with a quick look at the Boeing 727-200 Super, which is almost ready for release, including the EFIS with a brand-new autopilot, VNAV mode, RNAV approaches, and more.
We also hear a few notes:
- It’s an expansion. The base version (pax or freighter, or both) is required
- The EFIS with the new autopilot only works with the GNS-XLS, but it’s optional.
- The digital VSI with TCAS can also be used in the base 727 as long as the Super27 is installed
The Boeing 727-100 has also been confirmed and will come with dedicated freighter and passenger versions. It might also get its own Super expansion.
Moving on to the Embraer E-Jets, the developer provided a pretty transparent report of the current closed beta and internal build, warts and all.
The most critical issues identified so far by the beta are as follows.
- Lateral flight path often skipping waypoints and cutting corners
- Vertical path sometimes dropping to 0 and back up again
- Autothrottle oscillating during step climbs
- Flight Director sequence on takeoff not always reliable
- Performance prediction (fuel, time, etc.) still not trustworthy
Navigraph is being integrated, while VNAV is in the works internally, but it has not been implemented in the beta yet because it needs polishing and bug fixing. Yet, it can already handle RNAV approaches, step climbs, and descents before TOD. The E-Jets’ several Vnav modes are being implemented one by one, and the developer teased a possible beta release by Christmas.
The Tecnam P2006T and R2012 are also getting a native MSFS 2024 release with the following improvements.

The Embraer C-390 Millennium for Microsoft Flight Simulator Is Back after Over a Year of Silence
Now it’s time for something entirely unexpected, as Radar FS Design has made a comeback after over a year and a half of silence.
The developer simply posted “Hello there” with a new screenshot of the Embraer C-390 Millennium military transport.
At the moment, we don’t know much more, but we haven’t heard from Radar FS Design since February 2024, before Simulation Daily was launched. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and post any further updates.
Detroit Coleman A. Young International Airport for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 Gets New Screenshots
Max Addante, developer of Orbx’s Detroit Coleman A. Young International Airport (KDET) in the United States, posted a number of screenshots.
We get to see the headquarters of the Detroit Fire Department Training Division, a hangar on the south side of the airport, some antennas near the Fire Dept. area, and a couple of buildings.
Cape Town International Airport and Wolf’s Fang Runway for MSFS 2024 Get New Trailers; Impulse 100 Released
iniBuilds released new trailers for its upcoming airport releases, Cape Town International Airport (FACT) in South Africa and the free Wolf’s Fang Runway (AT98) in Antarctica.
At the moment, neither airport has a release date.
The developer also released the Impulse 100 “Pocket Rocket” for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. It’s priced at $16.17 on IniBuilds’ own store.
It includes the following features:
- Highly accurate 3D model
- Detailed electrical system, with accurate circuit power behavior
- Full animations, including:
– Landing gear flex
– Tail wheel system
– Opening canopy
– Flight control sticks - MSFS rain and icing effects included
- Realistic lighting, including:
