Katowice Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots and Development Update

Drzewiecki Design revealed more work-in-progress screenshots of the upcoming Katowice Airport (EPKT) in Poland.

The post also included the traditional brief development update from the developer.

“This week has been packed with progress across both airside and landside, bringing Katowice even closer to its final form.

The main terminal continues to grow rapidly. Interior floors, stairways, structural columns, skylights, and window frames are now all laid out, giving shape to the building’s complex architecture. Inside, information boards, screens, and custom graphics have been created, ensuring that the passenger areas will feel alive and authentic once complete.

Work on Terminal A is also advancing steadily, while new objects have been added around the approaches — including a freshly completed building on final for runway 08.”

Macau International Airport and City v2.5 Released for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020

SamScene3D overhauled one of its older scenery add-ons for MSFS, re-released as “Macau Macao VMMC v2.5”

The package includes both the scenic Macau International Airport (VMMC) and the surrounding urban area, including a ton of landmarks. This is one of those cases in which the landmarks really help immersion, since the position of the airport means that you’ll often approach over the city.

The new release fixes one of the issues I had when I reviewed the original scenery all the way back in early 2021, turning the airport into a fully detailed creation with terminal interiors, as opposed to being pretty simple.

It’s available on Orbx Direct (for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020), Simmarket (for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020), and the developer’s own store (for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020), priced at $18.99.

If you have the older version, you can upgrade for just under $6, and you can also upgrade at no additional cost for the MSFS 2020 to the MSFS 2024 version of the new release.

Here’s what it includes.

v2.5 upgraded features

  1. added detailed terminal interior
  2. added few more new casino hotels
  3. improved night effects
  4. added more landmarks
  5. added more apartment buildings
  6. added the compatibility with the latest sim update

Scenery Features

  1. over 130 custom iconic buildings and apartments
  2. many 3D models of casinos, buildings, apartments, hotels, banks, landmarks in Macau
  3. Macau major bridges with night effects
  4. all buildings with PBR material
  5. beautiful night effects of casino resorts
  6. Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge with custom buildings
  7. Macau cotai-strip casinos include: The Venetian, The Parisian, The Londoner, City of Dream, The Lisboa, Galaxy resort, The Wynn Palace, etc
  8. detailed Macau International airport (VMMC) with terminal interior, tower, jetways, hangars, etc
