Avro RJ for Microsoft Flight Simulator Showcased in Extensive Video

Today Just Flight released an extensive video of the Avro RJ, the evolved version of the old and glorious BAE 146.

The video focuses on the sounds, but we also get to see an extensive overview of the startup procedure, which never hurts.

We also learn that the aircraft is now in the polishing and bug-fixing phase of development.

Boeing 777 Freighter Teased With New Screenshot

PMDG hasn’t really showed much of the upcoming Boeing 777 freighter, but today we do get a screenshot showing the rails of the cargo cabin. The level of detail certainly appears to be worthy of PMDG’s reputation.

Orbx Updates UK Scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update 17

Orbx has provided extensive updates to its UK scenery to ensure compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator’s World Update 17.

Great Britain South was updated to version 1.1.0 with the following changes.

  • Updated compatibility for World Update 17
  • Changes made to custom POI to leave the default ones visible
  • Almost 72 changes, 17 of which are to leave the custom Microsoft (World Update 3 & 17) models visible. Includes improvements to POI scaling, exclusions, displacements, color corrections, footprints, and ground textures
  • Fixed possible conflict with London City Landmarks

Great Britain Central was updated to version 1.2.0 with the following changelog.

  • Updated compatibility for World Update 17
  • Fixed stadiums being on a ‘plateau’
  • Objects that also appear when EU Great Britain South is installed have been given an exclusion rectangle, to remove the duplicate POI from the EU Great • Britain South scenery
  • Corrected positioning of POIs
  • Added exclusions where some were missing
  • Removed unwanted photogrammetry by adjusting exclusion polygons
  • Fixed late spawning of mentioned POIs at Salford Quays
  • Removed Newcastle Station

Pulkovo Airport Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Digital Design released Pulkovo Airport (ULLI) serving St. Petersburg in Russia. It’s available on Simmarket for $21.53.

It includes the following features:

  • A top-quality model of ULLI Saint-Petersburg Pulkovo Airport
  • Highly detailed airport objects including interior terminals.
  • Animated custom GSE airport vehicles, cars, buses.
  • Animated people in terminals
  • Custom GSX Profile included
  • Customized jetways.
  • Accurate terrain and runway profiles
  • Custom aerial image covering the airport boundary and surroundings
  • Highly realistic nightime dynamic lighting
  • The scenery coverage includes the airport area and all the city’s major landmarks along the coastline!
  • Helidrive Heliport with custom helipads.
  • Custom helipad at Gazprom Arena Stadium
  • Custom animation of yachts and boats at the coastline
  • Compatibility with free St. Petersburg landmarks by SkySorceress (scenery package configuration required)

Nuremberg Airport Released for X-Plane

29 Palms and Captain7 released Nuremberg Airport (EDDN) in Germany for X-Plane.

The airport is available on Aerosoft’s store and Simmaket for $24.99 including the following perks.

  • Highly realistic rendition of Nuremberg Airport based on most recent geodata
  • 55 km² satellite imagery coverage with resolution up to 20cm/px including all seasons
  • Highly detailed buildings with internal modelling of the terminal and Hangar 2
  • PBR ground and marking textures
  • Athmospheric HDR night lighting
  • Animated Jetways (SAM Plugin required)
  • Custom seasonal textures (XP11: SAM Plugin required, XP12: native XP12 seasons)
  • Snow and rain effects
  • Animated FAI gate (SAM Plugin required)
  • Custom Runway lights automatically switched on in low visibility
  • Detailed airport lighting including REILs, Running Rabbits and HDR Lighting
  • Custom vehicle animations on the apron

X-Plane 12 users will be able to also enjoy the following features:

  • Reworked vegetation placement (new volumetric grass)
  • XP12 3D vegetation for forests, trees and bushes for seamless integration into the environment

  • Full support for native XP12 seasons, with no other add-ons or plugins
  • Reworked autogen and street placement
  • Revised static aircrafts
