Katowice Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots and Development Update

Drzewiecki Design revealed new work-in-progress screenshots of the upcoming Katowice Airport (EPKT) in Poland.

We also get the usual brief development update from the developer.

“This week brought more key elements into place at EPKT Katowice, pushing the project steadily toward completion.

The ATC tower model is now complete, bringing one of the airport’s most distinctive structures into the sim. Hangar No. 2 is currently in development, adding to the growing lineup of large maintenance facilities.

A new technical building has been finished, along with the railway station that connects the airport to the regional network. The old small garages and a service hall are in place, while work is underway on the railway sidings and fuel storage tanks, which will add more operational realism to the cargo and service areas.

On the landside, parking lot markings have been finalized, and custom vehicle license plates have been created for extra immersion. All newly completed assets have been placed and verified in-sim to ensure proper fit, scaling, and alignment with the ground layout.

Katowice Airport serves as a major regional hub in southern Poland, handling both domestic and international flights, and is a key cargo gateway. Our goal is to recreate it in MSFS with maximum visual fidelity and accurate operational detail, from high-resolution textures to realistic infrastructure placement — all optimized for smooth performance.”
