Katowice Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots and Development Update

Drzewiecki Design revealed new work-in-progress screenshots of the upcoming Katowice Airport (EPKT) in Poland.

We also get a brief development update from the developer.

“We’ve been hard at work across the entire airport, from line markings to lighting, modeling, and terrain blending.

The apron is now fully detailed with high-res textures, painted ground signage, tire marks, and concrete divisions. Taxiway lighting is in place and already looking great at dusk.

We’re also building out the technical side of the airport — hangars, cargo zones, and auxiliary buildings are taking shape, along with flat parking zones and properly matched terrain. The Old Cargo area and numerous background facilities have been placed and textured.

The ATC tower is in progress, complete with an early-stage interior model showing workstations and detailing underway.”

It’ll include EFB integration, a failure system, and plenty of real-world liveries and custom cabins at launch. The sounds will be by Echo19 Audio.

It’ll be exclusively for MSFS 2024 and the intention is to release for both PC and Xbox at the same time.
