FSS Discusses Updates for Boeing 727 and E-Jets

FlightSim Studio discussed what we can expect from the further development of its Boeing 727 and E-Jets.

For the 727, the developer is working the 727-200RE, or “Super 27,” modernized with the JT8D-217s from the MD-80 series.

We’ll also be getting several cockpit changes, including new engine gauges, some updated instruments, and a planned EFIS variant with advanced autopilot paired with the GNS-XLS. More details will be shared at FSExpo in June.

The developers also mention that they received requests for the 727-100, but for now, they’re focusing on the Super 27. They can’t make promises about potential releases or timelines for the -100, but it’s on their radar.

On the front of compatibility with MSFS 2024, for now, it’s available only on Contrail, but the developers are working on adding that to Aerosoft One in the future.

Moving on to the E-Jets, the developer is working on the promised custom FMS with VNAV and LNAV. It’s already being tested, and above you can see some of the bugs encountered by testers. They have already been fixed, but they are showcased for illustration purpose. For the moment, a release date for this feature has not been provided.

In terms of compatibility with MSFS 2024, the same goes as mentioned for the 727. That being said, a native MSFS 2024 version with new features is planned but will be started only after the custom FMS is complete.
