Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Sim Update 1 Delayed

Microsoft announced that the full release of Sim Update 1 has been delayed beyond the previously (tentatively) set date of February 18th.

After carefully reviewing the feedback from the beta and to ensure the best possible experience at release, Microsoft has decided it needed a bit more time in the oven. More details will come next week (on February 20).

İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots

MM Simulations released new screenshots of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (LTBJ) in Turkey, showing off more work done on the terminal.

Miyazaki Airport v2 and Destin–Fort Walton Beach Airport v2 Announced

Fly2High announced two v2 overhauls of its existing airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Miyazaki Airport (RJFM) in Japan and Destin–Fort Walton Beach Airport (KVPS) in the United States.

At least for Miyazaki, we learn that the ground has been remade and the upgrade will be free.

Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Released

Today Vuelosimple released an airport that has been a pretty long time coming, Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport (SABE), one of the airports serving the capital of Argentina. 

It’s available on the official marketplace for $12.99, only for PC.

Realistic Vehicles for Microsoft Flight Simulator Released

4Simmers released a new add-on that replaces the rather lackluster ground vehicles of Microsoft Flight Simulator with more realistic counterparts, claiming “a lot of effort into optimizing this product, ensuring the best possible performance despite the large number of new vehicle models.”

It’s available on the official marketplace for $7.49 for both PC and Xbox.

Langenthal Airfield for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Released

Flylogic released a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 port of Langenthal Airfield (LSPL) in Switzerland. It’s available on Simmarket for $15.69.

It includes the following features.

  • Completely recreated scenery
  • Realistic and highly detailed depiction of the airport
  • Lifelike lighting effects
  • Animated people and windsocks
  • Landing direction indicator
  • Static vehicles, gliders and trailers
  • Precise collision detection on the buildings
  • Optimized execution speed by using LOD’s (3D objects and textures)

Airbus A350 Pricing Revealed, Release Date Narrowed Down

Today iniBuilds hosted a new livestream showcasing its upcoming Airbus A350, providing another look at its features. You can watch it above courtesy of YouTube user Alpha350 since the developer didn’t leave a recording up.

We learn that the aircraft will be priced at £59.99 plus applicable VAT and it’ll be released in the last week of February, between February 24 and February 28 for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.

The initial package will include the -900 and -1000 versions, while the -900ULR and new features will be added in Q2 of 2025.
