Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Gets Sim Update 1 Beta 1.3.13.0

Microsoft itself released a new beta patch of Sim Update 1 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, numbered 1.3.13.0. Here’s what you can expect if you download it.

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where non-selectable aircraft were not taken into consideration by various systems after a mount/unmount or after a Build Package

Stability & Performance

  • Fixed a crash when a package is disabled while texture is loading
  • Fixed a crash when many avatars meet up online
  • Fixed a crash on Xbox that would occur when accessing areas close to the antemeridian, such as Savusavu Airport (NFNS), for example

Aircraft Gameplay

Preflight

  • Increased default player character camera speed
  • Adjusted gamepad player character ROTATE X AXIS and ROTATE Y AXIS action curves to keep previous sensitivity on this peripheral

Career

General Career Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash occurring after buying a package containing an airport during the briefing of a mission
  • Fixed a crash when selecting airport to transfer an aircraft
  • Fixed a crash occurring when transferring an aircraft to a new airport

World

  • Fixed cliff textures sometimes displayed on photogrammetry buildings
  • Fixed city lights sometimes displayed on photogrammetry landscapes

MyLibrary

  • Added a conflict popup when the user tries to enable multiple version (FS2020 & FS2024) of the same item

Challenge League

  • Fixed the score not being sent to the leaderboard in Xbox builds

Free Flight

  • Added save of the last weather preset
  • Retrieve and set the last used weather choice

Travel Book

  • Fixed retrieval of data from server in photographer mode; now displays the picture and the sub-objectives.

DevMode

General

  • Fixed package export error when the export path contains spaces

Scenery Editor

  • Fixed taxi signs not rendering when the airport has no taxi light.

SDK

SimVars

  • Fixed an issue where FS9GPS simvars were returning ICAOs and idents with non-legacy formats

Exporter 3DSMAX

  • Fixed max and default values for material ghost

Exporter Blender

  • Fixed set default values for existing materials in scene and fix materials properties
  • Fixed windshield properties decalaration
  • Fixed max and default values for material ghost

Sandane Airport Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Orbx released the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of Sandane Airport (ENSD) in Norway. It’s available on Orbx Direct for $14.46. Of course, if you have the MSFS 2020 version, you get the upgrade for free.

  • 2K textures and PBR
  • Custom ground decals
  • Crisp 60cm ortho
  • Custom approach lighting and ground equipment

El Hierro Airport Teased

El Hierro Airport

FSDG teased its next airport, and it’s El Hierro (GCHI), serving the Spanish island in the Canaries. For the moment, we get to see only a screenshot, showcased above.
