Without further ado, I leave you with the news.

Lavochkin La-7 for DCS World Gets Development Update

Eagle Dynamics and OctopusG provided new screenshots and a development update about the Lavochkin La-7 for DCS World.

Here’s what we learned.

“OctopusG is in the final stages of development on their La-7, and they have provided an initial build for evaluation prior to full, internal testing. Based on test results, we believe that this eagerly awaited warbird will be available in early 2026. In the meantime, we’re pleased to pass along a more detailed progress report.

All electrical power sources, consumers, and their interactions have been implemented, as well as the emergency landing gear extension and canopy jettison. The pneumatic system is fully implemented, including actuators, brakes, and emergency landing gear extension. The oxygen system now functions in both automatic and manual (emergency) modes above 4 km, along with its related instrumentation. Special attention has been paid to the cockpit mechanical systems.

The La-7 will launch with a detailed damage and failure system that features engine failures due to overheating, flutter, and the impact of structural damage based on allowable G-loads. Damage animations are currently in progress, along with simulation of oil temperate.

The flight manual is in its final stages for both Russian and English versions. It will also launch with an interesting set of several for the USSR, Czechoslovakia, North Korea, and United Kingdom liveries.

A key focus of the team in this final stretch is creation of mission content such as interactive training missions and instant action missions. The La-7 will also be available with the Quick Action Generator.

The La-7 will be an outstanding addition to DCS, and those familiar with the performance of the Spitfire will feel at home. It’s an outstanding fighter in a close-in dogfighting that is a joy to fly.”

Zhanjiang Wuchuan International Airport Released for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020

Continuum Studio released Zhanjiang Wuchuan International Airport (ZGZJ) in China.

It comes with local landmarks and even a rendition of the port with the fleet. It’s available on Simmarket for a rather steep $37.51. I’m fairly confident this is one of the most expensive airports for MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 on the market, but you can judge the quality from the screenshots above.

Falls International Airport Released for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020

Fox Two Models released Falls International Airport (KINL) in Minnesota, United States, for MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020.

It’s available on Simmarket for $16.51. It includes the following features.
