Today we hear from the developers working for Aerosoft on Milan Malpensa Airport (LIMC) in Italy for Microsoft Flight Simulator
The airport won’t be ready in time for the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (which isn’t surprising since we’re less than a week away), but the developers have “start descent towards release, final approach is not that far away.”

Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets a New Screenshot: “Still Work to Do”
Today Vuelosimple posted an update about its Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery Airport (SABE), one of the airports serving the capital of Argentina.
The developer showcased a new screenshot, mentioning that the airport is taking shape but there is still “work to do” before it’s completed.
FSimStudios Has 2 Canadian Airports in The Works for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
The Canada-focused developer FSimStudios announced that it has two Canadian airports in “different stages of development” for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. A MSFS2020 version might be released if there is demand.
We also hear about their plans to convert their airports to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
- Halifax and Winnipeg will come first, likely on day 1 at no cost. They’ll feature improved LODs and Performance on top of minor fixes.
- Calgary and Toronto will come by the end of November, also at no cost.
- Houston Hobby, Edmonton, and London will be next with no ETA. The developers plan to work on various improvements, provided at no cost.
- Vancouver and Kelowna won’t be officially updated for MSFS 2024 but will instead get V2 remakes likely MSFS2024 exclusive (again, MSFS may get them depending on demand). There will be an upgrade cost with existing customers getting a discount.
VATSIM Won’t be Available at Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s Launch but Shouldn’t Take Long
Today VATSIM announced that the software for the relevant ATC network will not be fully compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 right at launch on November 19.
That being said, the developers are committed to delivering the update that will restore compatibility “as soon as possible.” At the moment, it’s expected within several hours after the release.
The worst-case scenario is that it might take “some time” to ensure everything is thoroughly tested and working as intended.
