Flight Simulation developers shared some interesting news today, including scenery coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and even a free airport, on top of the announcement of another one for X-Plane.

Supercarrier Pro Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

MIlitech Simulations released the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 version of its Supercarrier Pro add-on, bringing carrier action to the new simulator. It’s available on Orbx Direct for $17.62.

If you have the MSFS 2020 version, you can get an upgrade for free, and below you can find all the features of this massive package.

  • Beautifully Modeled Ships: seven ships included: Ford-Class CVN-78, Nimitz-Class CVN-76 and CVN-69, FrenchCDG, Independence-Class Littoral Combat Ships, Arleigh-Burke Destroyers and Ticonderoga Cruisers.
  • Moving and Static Ships: A total of 27 moving locations and 28 static (anchored) locations are included.
  • Miltech Simulations Supercarrier Pro Toolbar: In sim toolbar for full control of the carriers
  • Universally compatible Arrestor Cables and Catapults: This product was developed in such a way that any aircraft, stock or 3rd party, can use the catapults and arrestor cables without any modification, and regardless if the aircraft has a tailhook or not.
  • Full Xbox Support: All features are fully supported on Xbox. Carriers have been optimized for excellent performance on Xbox.
  • FLOLS and LRLS: Functional Optical Landing Systems to safely guide your aircraft to the deck – follow “the Ball”
  • Landing Signal Officer: Fully functional Landing Signal Officer, with functional audio callouts to guide the aircraft on landing and feedback scoring based on real naval operations.
  • Animated Crew, Jet Blast Deflectors and Elevators
  • Fully Accessible Hangar
  • Navaids: ILS and TACAN are available on static carriers
  • Discord Community to foster group flights, events and interaction among players. Invite is available on the Toolbar
  • Carrier Comms: UNICOM and ATIS are available on static carriers. Carrier ATC Voice channels available over Discord for all locations.
  • Full Multiplayer Support: Both moving and static carriers are fully compatible over multiplayer.

  • Teleport (Experimental Feature): teleport your aircraft to the carrier hangar, approach or deck using the teleport feature. Aircraft will change state according to where is teleported to.

Sulphur Creek Ranch Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Orbx released the Microsoft Flight Simulator version of the bush strip Sulphur Creek Ranch, and you can purchase it on Orbx Direct for $13.59.

As usual, the upgrade from the MSFS 2020 version is free.

Santiago Airport Released for Free for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

LataVoadora released a free rendition of Santiago Airpor (SSST). As the ICAO code suggests, it’s not the airport serving the capital of Chile, but the much smaller one serving Santiago at the southern tip of Brazil.

Yet, you can’t go wrong with free, and you can find it on Flightsim.to including custom 3D objects and full PBR materials.

Siargao Airport Announced for X-Plane 11 and 12

Airwil Sceneries announced and showcased its next airport for X-Plane 11 and 12, and it’s Siargao Airport (RPNS), also known as Sayak Airport in the Philippines.

Besides the screenshots above, you can also find a video on the developer’s Facebook page. The scenery is coming “soon.”
