A new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is here, and fans got an inside look at the areas around Hyrule. Plus, it showed off new gameplay features and characters, including some things fans were curious about.
Prior to the new trailer, Echoes of Wisdom only had an announcement trailer from earlier this year. The theme of the new trailer is traversing Hyrule, and the main content is the various areas of Hyrule in the game.
The Gerudo Desert kicks the trailer off. With fierce sandstorms, mysterious ruins, and beautiful oases, the Gerudo Desert is as savage as it is a paradise. The women-led Garudo tribe are pros at handling the storms though, and they may be able to help Princess Zelda do the same.
Next up is Jabul Waters, home of the sea and river Zora. Each group of Zora has a village in the beautiful waters, although they fight regularly.
The Eldin Volcano holds lava and cliffs near the Kakariko Village, home of the Gorons. Additionally, jungle foliage litters the Faron Wetlands, home of the Deku Scrubs.
Players will be able to ride horses, a much-requested feature from fans. The horse can jump and run over small enemies once Princess Zelda learns how to summon them. Plus, Zelda can use Waypoints to get around to places she’s already been.
Beyond the ecosystems of Hyrule, the Echoes of Wisdom trailer explained that quests are going to be a major part of the game. Princess Zelda can earn a lot of rewards by helping the people she comes across in her travels.
Smoothie shops from Business Scrubs let the princess blend drinks that give her enhanced abilities. She can also buy outfits that do the same thing, another feature fans were hopeful for.
The trailer showed two new techniques: Bind and Reverse Bind. Bind helps Princess Zelda move objects (and enemies) by forcing them to follow her. Reverse Bind lets Zelda follow objects, helping her get over obstacles around the map.
The Echoes of Wisdom trailer also discussed more of the story. Without Link around, mysterious rifts and enemies pop up over Hyrule that Princess Zelda will have to explore and conquer. Fans can view the trailer below:
